On the day of the shoot, we started in a small garden in Santa Monica area. The classy couple added a hint of sophistication to the scene, don’t you think? They brought their dog, Sadie, with them and as you can probably tell, they were both dog lovers which I thought was so cute. Happy in each other eyes with the little dog by their side, Alicia and Justin seemed to be a real family to me.  

We then headed to the beach at Santa Monica. It was a beautiful day for their engagement session at the Santa Monica Pier. Fedora hat, bow tie, pearls and bright red lips all reminded me of the romance and elegance in the old time movies. Vintage yet playful, the couple had the greatest chemistry together. Lying on the beach in their lovers’ arms, smiling and kissing each other, their affection beamed at me, even brighter than the sun. We also headed up to the pier. The moment that they shared together at the ferris wheel seemed timeless and perfect. It was a great day that I shared with them as their photographer. With that said, without further ado, here I present to you the engagement photos of Alicia and Justin.

So I knew Francesca and Andreas through Letizia and Tim who were a couple I worked with for their engagement photos while I was in Paris. Francesca and Andreas live in Milan where it happens to be a stop on my tour map (i chose Milan over Rome mainly because I wanted to see San Siro ^_^), and I’m so glad that I visited. After they’ve seen my work displayed on my website, they became very excited about the photoshoot. Even though the shoot was scheduled the day after their return from Barcelona, the couple got up bright and shiny in the morning to accommodate the session, I was really grateful for that.

The photo session was taken at the Duomo di Milano and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. They were a gorgeous couple and blended right into the elegance of Milan. Their love radiated and easily became the center of focus. I didn’t have to teach them how to pose much at all because this was all natural to them. Every kiss, hug and stare was gravitational and they can’t seem to see anyone else in the world but each other. Haha, I even felt a little shy in front of them. They were animated, beautiful and picture perfect.

It truly is a privilege of mine to work at my job. Not only I get to tour around the world for work, but most importantly, I get to work with wonderful clients like these two and capture their moments of happiness. “Do what you love. Love what you do.” Moments like these remind me why I am a wedding photographer and love being one.

They say Paris is the “City of Love”. I would agree that it’s a very romantic city, but it doesn’t take the city to be in love. It only takes two people who are connected at heart, just like Charlene and Stephane. This gorgeous couple is what Paris would ask for to add to its shine.

So there were macaroons, Crêpe and parfaits in every bakery on the streets of Paris, but I didn’t really need them on the day of the shoot. Why, you ask? Because the chemistry between the couple made me feel sweet enough already. Whenever I look at them, they were just so ready to give my camera the perfect smiles. Not to me, but to each other. Rather it was dancing in front of the Pyramide du Louvre, or just strolling down the streets holding hands, Charlene and Stephane were just so comfortable with each other that they made it so effortless for me to take the shots. I will miss Paris for these moments.

Be thankful whatever the situation you’re in, because happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have.

I met this lovely couple on my trip to Paris. In fact I had actually ‘virtually’ met the bride through the magic of Twitter. She had shared with me that she had high suspicions that her boyfriend would propose in Paris and thought it would be incredible to capture the magic of Paris should the question be popped. We had made a pack that should her suspicions in fact be correct that she would text me and we would meet the morning after the proposal. Just as predicted on the night of the 28th of August, I received her very excited message announcing that she was in fact engaged.

I met Tim and Letizia at the Trocadero in Paris bright and early the next day at 7am. It was a chilly Parisian day but the sun was shining and the Eiffel Tower still twinkled in the morning sunrise. As we strolled through Paris and shot some pictures they shared their proposal story. I think I was the first person to hear their proposal story in person!!! It was a very sweet and thoughtful proposal. Letizia’s birthday had been a few weeks before their Parisian trip and as one of her gifts Tim had given her a padlock with their names engraved. They had agreed to lock the padlock on Letizia’s favorite Parisian bridge, the Pont Des Arts (as seen in last episode of Sex and the City), on the night of their Seine dinner cruise. That evening Tim and Letizia strolled on the bridge and Tim asked her to pick the spot. Once the spot was chose, Tim bent down on his knee and attached the lock as Letizia happily and unknowingly snapped away pictures. As the lock clicked shut, Tim turned to Letizia and said, “Since I’m down here…” and proceeded to pull out a beautiful diamond engagement ring from his jacket pocket. And she said ‘YES!!!”

It was so special to be a part of such a lovely engagement. Congrats to them! And the pictures look amazing….sweet!!!!

I met this lovely couple when I was on my trip to Paris. I went to Hillsong Church in Paris. And a great guy, Jack Spparrow (Nope. Not Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean), introduce me to them. It turns out, Nicolas is serving the Lord as a Keyboardist in Hillsong Church! OMG. I shot Hillsong’s Keyboardist couple session! How cool is that?! That is the best thing that ever happen in my life so far.

It was gloomy day. Emilie and Nicolas met me at our meeting point. I can tell that they were really sad because of the weather, specially Em. Paris is a bit grumpy on that day. But, I told Emilie, “dont worry about the weather. Weather like it is pppuurrrffeecctt. I love weather like this. Soft & even light. golden hours. What else could a photographer ask for?!” And I give the bigest smile ever to comfort her. I know Nicolas & Emilie are really ready for this photoshoot. Show up with stunning semi-formal outfit. After couple shots, I showed the images that I took to Emilie. She was beaming ear to ear, then I know for sure that she wasn’t worry about the weather anymore.

I always excited to shoot engagement session or wedding day at new place that I never been there before. I used to live like 5 minutes away from Griffith Observatory but never had a chance to shoot anyone there before. So, when I get there, I took quick scan to see where are the best spots for me to place my lovely couple. Well, in less than five minutes I already found what I needed. Weather was perfect. The sky was unbelievable. The clouds looks like decided to give us a visit and see what we can do if they appear before us. Perfect day for engagement session.

When I called Carin to setup rendezvous (I think that means appointment in French) for their engagement photo session, I thought they like serious couple. So I thought I have to say chezzy jokes during photosession that I normally said to make my couple relax and they can be comfortable around me and in front of my camera, but after I met them, I was wrong! Carin is a dancer while Bobby is a Musician. They’ve been together for 5 years but when I see them enjoying themselves to be with each other, they seems like they on their first date! So in love. LOVELY. That’s what I do best. Capturing love with my camera.

Guess who is our client? It’s Monica and Shawn. We met Monica at Candice & Tony’s wedding as their wedding coordinator, now she is preparing for own her big day. Great!

Shawn met Monica in a church conference back in 2006 and since then they get to know each other more and get into special short distance relationship. Short distance relationship? Yeah, Shawn lives in San Diego and Monica is in Los Angeles, they visit each other over the weekend. So we decided to take their engagement pictures at Union Station, where their weekly ride is to and from San Diego. There’s a lot of stories to tell about them, but let’s keep it for later

They are very fun couple to work with. Loving and laughter at all time on the e-session which make us so comfortable and not rushing while taking pictures. We are very excited to shoot on their wedding later this October! Yay!

I did so many trip to Singapore. Meet new friends and some of them become more than my clients. They are my best friends. Last March, i got a chance to shoot for OneWay Photoworks in Singapore. They assigned me to shoot Jennifer & Jeffrey’s Engagement Session. They are really fun couple. Very very nice, polite and they share so many stories about Singapore. They want to have something different of what the couple usually get from Singapore photographers during engagement session (or what they called over there “PreWedding Photo Session”).
